2026 RYL Season
2026 Rise RYL Details
Practices:
- Practices will begin on Thursday, September 3.
- To conform with the new RYL guidelines, practices will be held once per week for 90 minutes.
Times:
- Thursday or Friday evenings (6:00-7:30pm or 7:30-9:00pm)
- Some athletes may be moved to another team after the first week of practices. This ensures that all athletes will be playing with teammates of similar ability.
Tournament play:
- RYL #1: September 20 (8:30am start)
- RYL #2: September 27 (8:30am start)
- RYL #3: October 4 (3:30pm start)
- RYL #4: October 11 (8:30am start)
- RYL Tournament: Two days, October 17-18 (times TBD, possible AM/PM wave)
2026 Tryouts:
8/26 - 5th & 6th Grade | 6:00pm-7:00pm
8/26 - 7th & 8th Grade | 7:30pm-8:30pm

RYL is run by the RMR. However, all participating clubs will maintain the autonomy that has always been central to the program’s success. The RYL is a stepping stone between recreational volleyball and full club play.
- NEW FOR 2026: Clubs can register their teams in the division they think is most appropriate, Gold (advanced), Silver (intermediate) and Bronze (beginner). This will make the experience better for all athletes!
- The RYL is designed for players (14 and under) seeking a higher level of competition and skill development, but “near home, and relaxed.”
- RYL mimics foundational aspects of club—such as rules, competition format, and the spirit of teamwork—while keeping things accessible and fun.
- The program provides valuable exposure to the club environment without the time, cost, and stringent requirements of traditional club volleyball.

Membership Details:
Purchase your Rocky Mountain 2026 RYL Youth League Membership!
But first, please remember that RYL Membership is INCLUDED in the Regular 26-27 Full Season RMR membership.... so, if your athlete already plays in the "regular" RMR, then you don't need to buy an RYL Membership!
For the athletes who are using RYL as a starting point in club volleyball, the RYL membership is only $20! (Remember though that this membership does NOT cover "regular full-season club" activities.)

And later, if you join up for "regular" club volleyball, $15 of your RYL membership will count towards your regular RMR membership!
- Cost: $500 for the entire season. Each athlete will receive a t-shirt.
- Rise RYL will be held in a club environment, led by qualified coaches. This gives athletes a great introduction to club volleyball.
- RYL is open to 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
