2025 RYL (CYL) Season

The RMR has decided to take over CYL, so it will now be known as RYL. Here are the details that were published by the RMR:

The CYL is now the RYL! (Rocky Mountain Youth League)

We’re thrilled to announce that the Colorado Youth League (CYL) is now the Rocky Mountain Youth League (RYL)! This change is designed to strengthen the volleyball community and inspire even more young athletes to fall in love with the game. While RYL will now be housed under RMR, all participating clubs will maintain the autonomy that has always been central to the program’s success. The RYL is a stepping stone between recreational volleyball and full club play.

• The RYL is designed for players (14 and under) seeking a higher level of competition and skill development, but “near home, and relaxed.”
• RYL mimics foundational aspects of club—such as rules, competition format, and the spirit of teamwork—while keeping things accessible and fun.
• The program provides valuable exposure to the club environment without the time, cost, and stringent requirements of traditional club volleyball.

League Details:

• Fixed Player Fee: Each club will charge $475 per participant.
• This Fee covers the entire 5-event League season!
• No additional Club or Team Fees from RMR

Tryouts: Week of September 7th, dates/times TBD.

Practices:

• Practices will begin the week of September 14.
• Twice a week, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
• Held at either Rise Volleyball Club or Falcon Bluffs Middle School.

Times:

• 5:30-7:00pm or 7:00-8:30pm.
• Some athletes may be moved to another team after the first week of practices. This ensures that all athletes will be playing with teammates of similar ability.

Tournament play:

• RYL #1: October 12th
• RYL #2: October 19th
• RYL #3: October 26th
• RYL #4: November 2nd
• RYL Tournament: two-days, November 8th-9th - *Athletes must have played in three RYLs to be eligible for this tournament*

• There are no cuts, so everyone that tries out will make a team.

• Cost: $475 for the entire season. Each athlete will receive a t-shirt.

• Rise RYL will be held in a club environment, led by qualified coaches. This gives athletes a great introduction to club volleyball.

• RYL has 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams.
